Embroiders trip to liverpool

We had a lovely day out in memory of Mandy's mum. Off to Liverpool and surrounding area for the day. First call was the Silk Museum in Macklesfield. A lovely museum and it was a shame we could go to the working looms in the old part of the museum. The work on exhibition was a mixture of work from the Embroiders guild collection and featured a wide range of styles and techniques. What really caught my eye was the looms, threads and pattern cards in the museum. Thanks to Mandy for the lovely day, I am sure her mum would have loved it too.

Christmas at Heart

Your are invited to the 'Christmas at Heart' exhibition where a selection of my work will be for sale along with a wide range of artists selling work just in time for Christmas. Hope you can come xx

Stitched collage workshop

Another day busy spent creating some fabulous stitched collages. The weather was very autumnal as the collaging began yesterday.  Lovely themes were chosen from hares to beach huts. I am always totally surprised by the range of work created from the same starting point and instructions.  After a break for lunch the sewing began in earnest. A mixture of machine and free machining soon altered the collages. Everyone worked really hard and produced some fantastic work. Take a look...

Halifax guild workshop

Things have been a little made and I am now updating my blog with thungs I have done over the past few months.
This was my day with the lovely ladies at the Halifax guild doing my stitched collage workshop. It was a very busy day and the work done was excellent.  I hope everyone enjoyed themselves as much as I did.
