2 New pieces ready to go

I have 2 new pieces on their way to Leigh-on Sea and Miss Annabel Dee* gallery for her Spring exhibition. I have been at bit 'maveric' with these, as they are blues and not greens! Inspired by some lovely fabric I picked up in Whitby at half term. I am really pleased with how they have turned out as I have added another layer to my work. This was also inspired by half term and the printing in my journal.

Spring Exhibition at Faux Workshop and Gallery

Really excited to have my work in Emma's Gallery, this is how it all started...

I so 'love' this.........lets get a facebook artist wall going like this in the gallery for the month of march!!!! who's in? xx

****** calling all 2D artists *******

we are on the hunt for small framed (no bigger than A3 in total) works in any medium for a fun filled wall in the gallery for the month of march..........please send images to emma@faux70.wanadoo.co.uk or message here for details xxxx

After contacting Emma I got to work creating a set of my stitched collages to send to Leigh-on Sea, Essex.

Backgrounds were created around a vintage postcard as a base and then other papers were collaged on top. Next drawing with a sewing machine then I will be taking them away with me and will hand stitch in the evening.

Done and ready to post...

The hard work really began as Emma created the FB wall in the gallery. But eventually it was done and ready. I am only sad that I can't see it first hand. But here are some pictures to tempt the taste buds..enjoy xx

To see more of the pics take a look at Faux Workshop and Gallery on Emma's Facebook page
I think the exhibition looks totally amazing. A fabulous range of work by some very talented people. Thanks Emma for all you have done and I hope the exhibition is a total success xx
