Recently I gave a talk and demonstration to the Halifax Arts Society. The talk was around the creation of my stitched collages and the process I go through. As it was the art society I hand been asked to focus on hand stitched work as not all members would have machines. So I set about creating some examples to get people thinking about the use of collage and stitch as a line.
The collages everyone produced were fantastic. A lovely range of colours and textures. As it was an evening meeting the group started their collages with the intention of completing them at the next meeting.
I will post some examples once I receive photos of them.
